Rasteau is a small provençal village with many interesting events happening throughout the year. There are a number of food and wine festivals in the local area during the summer including the well known Nuit Du Vin (Night of wine) on 14 August. The area is famous for its Roman remains including the world renowned amphitheatre in Orange where concerts are still held today. The whole area is ideal for activity holidays based around cycling or hiking.

Wine from Rasteau is a Grand Cru and the local Cave and many independent vintners offer opportunities to taste their products.
EAT AND ENJOY
There are numerous excellent restaurants in the villages around Rasteau. Rasteau itself has a restaurant specialising in fish dishes. There is a bakery, a grocery shop and a bar, a post office, a hairdresser and beauty parlour. Every Wednesday there is a small market offering fresh fruit and vegetables and a range of regional delicacies.
Many people visit the area to cycle and we are happy to advise you on routes. We can also put you in contact with bike rental shops in the area. There are hiking and rock climbing trails for all levels. With the pool on the property you have access to a full training programme whatever your level.
